Frequently Asked Questions

Below, I’ve answered the most frequently asked questions about our online coaching services. If you have a question about coaching that’s not answered below, please feel free to reach out via our Contact Us page.

  • Your initial consultation with me is 100% free. There is no catch.

    This first conversation will let us get to know each other, help me understand where you’re coming from and how I may be able to help you on your journey, and give us a good idea if we can work well together before we invest in the relationship further.

    An effective coaching relationship really IS a relationship, and like all other relationships, it really needs to “click” to work. If it doesn’t feel like the right fit, there’s no commitment to continue.

  • We conduct most coaching calls over Zoom, so you’ll need to have the free app installed on your device, or connect to our calls via your web browser. You’ll also need a decent Internet connection so that our call quality is pretty solid.

    While we CAN do calls over the telephone in a pinch, I find that they’re much more effective when we can see each other and read body language as well as what we’re saying. ;)

  • Each session is uniquely tailored to the individual's goals and current lifestyle. It may encompass discussing nutritional guidelines, mindset strategies, sleep hygiene, and stress management techniques, always with a focus on holistic wellness.

  • It really varies depending on the person and the goals we’re working towards. For most people, in the initial 1-3 months, we’ll talk on a weekly basis to make sure we’re making a solid start. After that, it usually drops to once every two weeks or in rare cases, as seldom as once per month.

    For some folks, it stays at once per week, or during particularly challenging times, could even be a couple of times per week. Again, it really depends on you and what you need.

  • Absolutely! We’ll use lots of different resources on an ongoing basis (forms, infographics, etc.) to help you with what we’re working on, and you’ll also have free access to ALL of our online courses for as long as we’re working together on your coaching goals.

  • Coach JP has been a PN Level 1 Certified Coach since 2010, bringing over a decade of hands-on expertise coaching people from all walks of life in the health and fitness domain.

    He has also recently completed the PN Level 1 Sleep, Stress and Recovery certification, and is currently pursuing his PN Level 2 Master Coach certification and an Advanced Certificate in Change Psychology.

    His holistic approach to wellness is a testament to his extensive knowledge and commitment to continuous learning.

  • All our coaching services are offered on a monthly subscription basis, paid in advance, after an initial 3-month commitment.

    The monthly cost for your coaching may vary depending on the amount of 1:1 coaching you require each month and if any other resources are required, but starts at $233.77 per month + GST.

    This also includes free access to ALL of our online courses on nutrition and other topics for as long as we’re working together on coaching.

  • Other than our initial 3-month commitment, which I feel is important to lay the groundwork for moving forward productively, I don’t believe in long-term contracts when it comes to coaching.

    If all goes well, at some point our work together will be done and you’ll be able to fly solo, and I don’t want you to feel obligated to continue past that point. So, after your initial 3-months, all coaching agreements are month-to-month.

  • Your journey begins with booking your FREE Coaching Kickoff Call, where your aspirations, challenges, and lifestyle are thoroughly discussed to craft a coaching plan that's as unique as you are.

  • Honestly, I’d say just book your call, and we can talk about it then. ;)
